The Green Media Show is pleased to welcome international guests. The location of this event was chosen with international visitors in mind. The Conference hotel – Boston Marriott Copley Place – is located in the heart of one of the world's great cities and adjacent to three upscale shopping destinations.
Copley Place Shopping Mall is one of Boston's most distinctive shopping destinations with 100 fabulous stores including Tiffany & Co., A|X Armani Exchange, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, BOSS Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Bebe, Christian Dior, Williams-Sonoma and the only Neiman Marcus in New England.
The Prudential Center features over 75 shops and restaurants including Barnes & Noble, The Cheesecake Factory, Lacoste, Legal Sea Foods, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Chico's, Ann Taylor, Talbot's, J.Jill, Charles David, Florsheim and Sephora.
Newbury Street is an upscale shopping area in Boston's historic Back Bay. The cluster of stores on Newbury Street begin at the Public Garden and end at Massachusetts Avenue to the west. Newbury Street is the most trendy area of the city. Themes of stores include men's and women's fashion, children's fashion, shoes and accessories, and maternity clothes. Specialty stores include crafts, beauty products, music, movies, books, watches, and jewelry. There are spas, tanning salons, hair stylists, and nail salons as well.
Visas
Interview requirements for obtaining a visa may now be more stringent than in years past, and visas may take longer to approve. All international attendees who will need to obtain a visa to enter the United States are urged to contact the nearest US Embassy or Consulate and begin the application process as soon as possible but no later than three months before the Conference. Because of the number of visas being processed and the need to be thorough with the reviews, this can take as long 8 weeks, especially for those countries that are on the State Sponsors of Terrorism List. Attendees from these countries should start the application process at least 6 months in advance of the meeting.
How Do I Request a Letter of Invitation?
To assist international attendees in obtaining a visa, SustainCommWorld will issue you a letter of invitation that you may present at your interview. To obtain a letter of invitation, you must first register for the conference and pay registration fees in full. No letters will be issued without a paid conference registration. A letter of invitation will be emailed to you on SustainCommWorld letterhead.
Note: It has been suggested to us that you should have a hotel booked and paid for as well.
Who Do I Contact If I Would Like to Organize a Delegation to Visit From My Country?
Please email your request to organize a delegation for the 2008 Show to Kathleen Kaiser at Kathleen@TheGreenMediaShow.com
Visa Waiver Program
International attendees who are nationals of countries listed in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) may be able to travel to the United States for 90 days or less without obtaining a visa.
Please note: All VWP travelers from the 27 eligible countries, regardless of age or type of passport used, must present individual machine-readable passports to enter the United States.
What is the Process to Apply for a Visa?
The following is from the U.S. Department of State's website:
Recently, the U.S. has updated its visa policies to increase security for our citizens and visitors. It will likely take you longer to get a visa than it used to, and you will find that a few new security measures have been put into place.
For details that may apply specifically to your country, see information posted by your nearest consulate or embassy.
